Brian Neltner

Brian Neltner is an accomplished materials scientist, electrical engineer, and chemical engineer based in Boston, MA. He is the President of Neltner Labs, a consulting company he founded to support startup R&D efforts, systems engineering, and industrial design.3 Neltner holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, as well as dual bachelor's degrees in Materials Science and Physics from the same institution.23

With nearly a decade of experience in developing innovative heterogeneous catalysts, Neltner's expertise spans materials science, chemical engineering, instrumentation design, systems engineering, and analytical methods. He has worked in various industries, including advanced batteries and bioplastics, and has supported numerous early-stage startups as a technical consultant since 2007.

In addition to his role at Neltner Labs, Brian is currently a part-time technical instructor at MIT, where he assists in running the undergraduate teaching laboratory in the materials science department.45 His professional experience includes positions such as Director of Catalysis at Visolis, Inc. and Principal Engineer at Ambri.3
