Brian Mingus is a third-year student at Ohio State University pursuing a major in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business. During the autumn of 2019, he worked as a Process Engineering Co-Op at Marathon Petroleum's Kenai, Alaska Refinery.
In this role, Brian Mingus collaborated with various departments including Operations, Process Controls, and Safety, gaining hands-on experience in refinery operations. His projects involved a wide array of tasks, providing a comprehensive understanding of oil flow within a refinery setting.
Brian Mingus has also worked at Qualico Inc. as a research chemist's assistant during the summers of 2016-2019, where he focused on cost reduction and product enhancement through systematic testing and research, particularly in the realm of Hydrocarbon-based roofing products.
Education-wise, Brian pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Ohio State University and completed his diploma at St. Edward High School.
