Brian McSweeney

Brian McSweeney is an entrepreneurial computer scientist with a rich background as a senior technology executive in Fortune 500 companies and a seasoned startup founder. He is the founder of Flexhire, a platform connecting customers with pre-screened freelance engineering talent globally, catering to a wide spectrum of clientele from venture-backed startups like Goop to Fortune 500 giants such as PepsiCo and Pearson.

In his prior roles, Brian served as the global CIO/CTO of Standard Industries, the largest roofing manufacturer globally, where he spearheaded technology strategy and managed a sizable team. At PepsiCo, he led the technology strategy as the Global Head of Digital Innovation for the Ecommerce division, contributing significantly to its growth to over $1 billion in annual sales. Additionally, he held a key role as the SVP of Customer Experience, Technology at JCPenney, overseeing both in-store and online digital experiences, including a substantial ecommerce platform.

Earlier in his career, Brian was the CEO of Motive, a startup focused on Augmented Reality, with operations in New York and Dublin, Ireland. He boasts a master's degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, where he was a foundation scholar and gold medalist. Additionally, he has been associated with prestigious organizations, serving on the board of the MIT Digital Currency Initiative, as a member of the Ireland-US Council, and previously on the Fedex Ecommerce board of directors.
