    Brian Kapotwe is a seasoned agriculture and economic development professional with over seven years of successful experience in market-based livelihoods, livestock and dairy, value chains, food security, and gender issues. His expertise spans across working with various stakeholders such as NGOs, private sector, international institutions, academia, and government bodies.

    Brian holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economic Policy Analysis from Cavendish University Zambia, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agricultural Economics from The University of Zambia, and has also studied Social Work at Mulungushi University. Additionally, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics with Distinction from Cavendish University Zambia. Brian is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Zambia.

    Throughout his career, Brian has held significant roles in reputable organizations. He currently serves as the Country Programme Officer at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Previously, he was the Programme Manager/Team Leader at SNV Netherlands Development Organization and also held positions at Oxfam GB in various capacities such as Economic Justice Programme Officer, Project Officer, and Economic Justice Programme Officer focusing on markets. Brian also has experience as a Project Manager at Africa Now and as a Project Facilitator at Agriculture Support Programme.
