Brian Herritt is a highly experienced and dedicated professional who has a unique background as a former police officer, a parent of a child with autism, and a renowned trainer in the field of autism awareness and emergency response.
With 12 years of experience in law enforcement and a deep understanding of autism, Brian provides invaluable training to various groups, including police officers, probation and corrections staff, social workers, Child Protective Services, theme parks, schools, families, and caregivers.
His passion lies in educating first responders on handling autism emergencies effectively, improving interactions between law enforcement and individuals with special needs, and enhancing the overall safety of people with autism.
Brian's educational achievements include a Certificate in Emergency Management and Disaster Recovery from UC Irvine, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership with a remarkable 4.0 GPA from Azusa Pacific University, and training in various specialized programs such as Police Academy, POST Basic, and the Citizen Academy from the FBI.
Throughout his career, Brian has held key roles in different organizations, including Director at Soboba Department of Public Safety at Soboba Indian Reservation, Author at Blue360 Media, Owner/Consultant/Instructor at Autism Cop, Security Supervisor at LEGOLAND California Resort, Security Director at County of San Bernardino with AlliedBarton Security Services, Instructor/Consultant at Autism Risk & Safety Management, and Senior Police Officer at Palomar College Police Department.
He has also served in management positions at Ocean Hills Country Club as a Security Supervisor and at Burger King Corporation as a Restaurant Manager.
