Brian Hartsock

Brian Hartsock, a seasoned software development leader, has found his passion in building web applications and great teams for nearly two decades. His expertise in analytics and visualization platform engineering led him to his current role in Atlassian where he's working to unleash the power of data through the acquisition of Chartio. Brian started his career at a small startup called Webmail.us which was acquired by Rackspace where he built several great products such as the Rackspace Hosted Exchange and the Rackspace Cloud Control Panel.

Brian graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He shares his knowledge and experience as an adjunct professor in Virginia Tech before diving into a full-time career in the tech industry. Brian is an avid golfer and snowboarder who enjoys hiking and spending time with his family in Blacksburg, VA.
