Brian Gorbett

Brian Gorbett is a highly accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in developer advocacy, product management, engineering, and startups. He is currently the Vice President of Engineering Platforms & Experiences at PayPal, where he leads a team responsible for developing and delivering engineering tools and services to help PayPal's developers work efficiently and effectively. Prior to joining PayPal, Gorbett was the Global Head of Developer Experience at Meta, responsible for driving the company's developer ecosystem and helping developers build for the next generation of computing platforms.

Gorbett's background includes stints at some of the world's largest technology companies, including Microsoft and Google. At Microsoft, he held multiple leadership roles, including Director of Microsoft for Startups and Founding Partner of Microsoft Ventures. He was also a Startup Portfolio Manager and Director of Startups for the Central Region. At Google, he served as a Senior Program Manager. Earlier in his career, Gorbett worked as a Developer Evangelist, promoting Microsoft technologies to developers.

Gorbett is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where he studied Computer Science. He is also involved in several organizations, including serving on the Board of Advisors of the Weston Ideation Lab at Cleveland State University.
