Brian Eyler

Brian Eyler is a dedicated professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in Southeast Asia studies and international programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and International Relations from Bucknell University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Economics from the University of California, San Diego. Brian currently serves as the Director of the Southeast Asia Program at the Stimson Center, a position that allows him to contribute significantly to the research and policy-making endeavors in the region.

With a passion for promoting cross-cultural understanding and engagement, Brian co-founded eastbysoutheast.com, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to fostering dialogue and connections between East and Southeast Asia. Brian's earlier roles at the Stimson Center, including Senior Associate and Deputy Director of the Southeast Asia Department, have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the region's political, economic, and security dynamics.

Brian's leadership abilities and international experience were further honed during his tenure at IES Abroad, where he held various directorial positions at the Kunming and Beijing centers.
