Brian Camelio

Brian Camelio is a highly accomplished musician, entrepreneur, and Grammy® nominated producer who is widely recognized as the pioneer of modern crowdfunding. In 2001, he founded ArtistShare, a groundbreaking software application, marketing platform, and record label that allowed creative artists to directly fund their projects through their fan bases. This innovative concept laid the foundation for popular crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, and Patreon. Notably, the first ArtistShare project won a Grammy award in 2004, marking the first time an album not available in retail stores received this prestigious honor. Brian's consultancy on ArtistShare projects has contributed to a total of 11 Grammy awards and 32 Grammy nominations.

Brian has been invited as a guest speaker at several prestigious institutions including the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Midem, The Grammy Foundation at NARAS, ASCAP, NYU Law School, Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, The Songwriters Hall of Fame, The Future of Music Coalition, George Mason School of Law, and The Juilliard School.
