Brett deMarrais is a Partner at Ludlow Ventures, a venture capital firm that provides seed and early stage funding to startups in the midwestern United States. He has a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, which he honed while studying for a Bachelor of General Studies, with concentrations in Economics and Sociology, at the University of Michigan. Brett is also a co-founder of Wedit, a wedding video editing service that makes it easy for couples to compile footage from their friends and family.

Brett began his career as a summer intern at Out of the Blue Entertainment, where he worked on various projects in the entertainment industry. Later, he shifted his focus towards startups, where he worked as a Principal at Ludlow Ventures before becoming a Partner. Alongside his work with Ludlow, he also collaborates with Carpool Ventures, a consortium of venture capitalists who share their networks, ideas and resources to help early-stage companies.
