Brett Alten is an accomplished legal professional with a solid educational background in both law and physics.

He holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Fordham Law School, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Clark University.

With a focus on intellectual property law, Brett has held prominent roles at various prestigious organizations, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Chief IP Counsel, Tesla as Associate General Counsel - Intellectual Property, SolarCity as Deputy General Counsel - Head of Intellectual Property, Dropbox as Head of Intellectual Property, Apple as Director of Patent Development & Enforcement, and Yafo Networks as Patent Counsel among others.

Prior to his leadership positions, Brett Alten gained valuable legal experience as Of Counsel at Morrison & Foerster LLP, an Associate at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, and as a Patent Agent/Associate at Fish & Neave.
