- Architected and built a modern, multi-layer data access framework and data export system for multiple customer payment, claim and eligibility integrations
- Recruited and manages a product development team of software developers, product managers and QA analysts as well as a TPA IT department composed of business analysts and IT support personnel

He hired and managed of teams of developers, dev ops engineers, QA analysts, product managers and designers. Regarding product development, Brent was involved in all product phases: product ideation, requirements gathering, design, technical architecture and development. Below are a few notable consulting projects: 

Healthcare claim auditing, pricing and billing system (Claim Watcher)
- Designed and built the REST API and Angular single page application (SPA) 
- Architected the following automation tools to automate hours of manual tasks:

    - ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS automated code validation system

- Technical lead responsible for the design of all consumer products including web, voice, SMS, and WAP.  
- Manager and leader for a team of software engineers and presentation developers.
- Designed and built the company’s first OO JavaScript API for building traffic-based Ajax applications.  
- Wrote multiple functional and technical specifications for new features and products.  
- Ran usability meetings to identify issues with existing products and developed a series of product plans aimed at fixing established problems.  
- Redesigned several applications that users found very confusing and that also spanned multiple pages into significantly less pages using advanced design techniques and Ajax.

Experience Architect

- Designed and built the user interface for the successful NeXgen traffic broadcasting application using .NET Windows Forms.  
- Integrated the Nini configuration library to make configuring NeXgen much faster, easier, and more flexible.  
- Rewrote the core of the NeXgen system to greatly increase speed of the application.  This required a massive refactoring (structured rewriting) of the source code.  
- Wrote an application that automatically finds, downloads, and installs new versions of NeXgen.  
- Designed user interface for the JamCast Windows service traffic producer.  
- Designed and developed multi-threaded architecture for JamCast service using and enhancing the existing NeXgen architecture.  
- Implemented a new source control repository that decreased the amount of time to create a build from over 15 minutes to just over a minute.  
- Setup NUnit testing framework to eliminate regression bugs.  
- Created and documented the coding standards for the department that are still being used today.  
- Interviewed multiple customers of the legacy products to create requirements for the NeXgen product.   
- Created an entire system for loading, saving, and undo/redo support using the memento design pattern in NeXgen.  
- Developed visual testing code library using the AutoIt programming language and automation suite.  Added code to NeXgen to support this library.  
- Wrote UML diagrams to document the software architecture and make it easier to work with other developers on the same design.  
- Built single-step automatic build and installer system for deployment of executables and station graphics.  This decreased the time to make a build from an entire day down to five minutes.

* Designed and developed a multi-threaded Windows service in C# that implements an internal queue for processing and transporting XML documents to a web service. 
* Wrote a web service (SOAP) in C# for receiving XML client responses, processing, and delivering them to a database.
