Brandy Schwarz

Brandy Schwarz is an experienced academic and healthcare professional. She holds multiple advanced degrees, including a BS in Biology from the University of Portland (2004), a clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT), and a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT).6 Dr. Schwarz also has an EdD.1

Her career in academia includes:

1. Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the DPT program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she served for 11 years.13
2. Director of Hybrid Academic Education in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.4
3. Currently, Associate Program Director and Associate Professor at Hawaii Pacific University.12

Dr. Schwarz has been actively involved in developing educational programs, particularly in physical therapy. She has expressed a goal to help build an outstanding hybrid DPT program.4 Her research interests include workplace bullying in higher education.6

In addition to her academic roles, Dr. Schwarz has been involved in professional organizations, serving as the Nominating Committee Co-Chair for the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT).5
