Meet Brandon Genson, a talented journalist and accomplished graduate assistant to Media Relations at Park University Gilbert. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Journalism from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Brandon has had the opportunity to cover Valley sports at the high school, college, and professional levels. During his time at Cronkite, Brandon spent time as a beat reporter for the San Francisco Giants and Perry High School, covering ASU baseball, Arizona Christian University, and various high schools across Arizona.
Brandon is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership at Park University Gilbert, and he works as a media contact for the Athletic Department. In this role, he is responsible for writing game stories, managing statistics, rosters, and game scores on Park’s website. Additionally, Brandon is tasked with managing Park University Gilbert's athletic and campus social media accounts. He is a talented writer and an exceptional communicator, with the ability to craft compelling stories and engage audiences through social media.
In previous roles, Brandon worked as a Multimedia Sports Reporter at Cronkite News and a Production Team Member at Pac-12 Networks. He has also served as an Intern at Bonneville Phoenix - KTAR News, Arizona Sports & ESPN and as a Staff Writer at AZPreps365.com.
Brandon is always open to new freelance opportunities and is eager to continue building his portfolio as a skilled journalist and communicator.
