Bradley Hemmings

Bradley Hemmings is a prominent figure in the arts community, currently serving as the Artistic Director of FESTIVAL.ORG, which includes the Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF). He founded GDIF in 1996 and has been instrumental in its development over nearly three decades, enhancing its reputation for high-quality outdoor productions that emphasize accessibility and participation from diverse audiences.13

Hemmings gained significant recognition for his role as Co-Artistic Director of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, an event that captivated an audience of 11.5 million viewers.12 His contributions to culture and disability arts were acknowledged when he was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2016, followed by receiving the Freedom of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in 2017.13
