Bradford Smith

Bradford Smith is a skilled framebuilder and cycling enthusiast with extensive experience in the bicycle industry. He worked as a framebuilder at The Vanilla Workshop (Speedvagen) from August 2020 to September 2023.3 Smith is known for his expertise in crafting high-quality bike frames and his passion for ultra-endurance cycling.12

Smith's cycling achievements include:

• Completing the 1200 km Paris-Brest-Paris ride in 48 hours of moving time
• Finishing 11th in the Trans America bike race, covering approximately 4400 miles in 24 days2

As a framebuilder, Smith has contributed to the development of new ideas at Speedvagen, including the creation of the Speedvagen Custom Rando bike.1 His unique riding style and experience in ultra-endurance events have influenced his approach to bike design and building.

Prior to joining The Vanilla Workshop, Smith worked at other notable bicycle companies:

• Geekhouse Bikes in Boston, Massachusetts, where he started his framebuilding career 14 years ago
• Seven Cycles, where he built a custom bike for the Trans Am bike race2

After his time at The Vanilla Workshop, Smith moved on to work as a framebuilder at Stinner Frameworks from November 2023 to July 2024.3
