Brad Tytel is the Deputy Director of Global Health Innovations Advocacy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Tytel joined the Gates Foundation in 2013, initially focusing on immunization advocacy. He has held various leadership positions, including roles in the foundation's Nigeria and India offices. After a brief departure in 2019, he returned to coordinate the foundation's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and later transitioned that work into a broader advocacy strategy for pandemic preparedness.1
Before his tenure at the Gates Foundation, Tytel served as vice president at Global Health Strategies, where he managed international advocacy campaigns. He holds a B.A. in peace and development studies from Amherst College and an M.A. in journalism from New York University.1
