Borre Winckel

Borre Winckel is a Southern California housing commentator and advocate with an impressive career spanning over 25 years. He has a background that blends finance and real estate, having worked for The Chase Manhattan Bank on Wall Street from 1981 to 1987 before transitioning to the real estate industry. Winckel is well-known in the region as a formidable public speaker and opinion leader, regularly sharing his views on the housing market and related policy issues.

Winckel has held several senior management positions in notable organizations, including serving as President and CEO of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of San Diego County and the Riverside County BIA. He has also worked as a General Partner of The Batavia Land Company, which owns several master-planned communities in the Inland Empire. Prior to that, he was President of Wellrun Oil Company.

Winckel's expertise includes finance, fund-raising, advocacy, negotiations, business development, and association management. He received his education from the Rijnlands Lyceum Wassenaar and Boston University, where he studied Communications and Print Journalism.
