Boon Han

Boon Siew Han is a prominent figure in the field of advanced research and innovation, currently serving as the Head of Advanced Research & Innovation and Research Director at the Schaeffler Hub for Advanced Research (SHARE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Asia Pacific. He joined Schaeffler in 2017, initially taking on the role of Head of Digitalization, where he was instrumental in implementing the company's digital strategy across the region. In 2020, he transitioned to his current role, focusing on research and development in advanced robotics, mechatronics, and artificial intelligence technologies.13

Before his tenure at Schaeffler, Boon Siew Han led the Autonomous Vehicle and Robotic Program at A*STAR in Singapore, where he oversaw the development of self-driving vehicle platforms. His team was notably the only one permitted to conduct public trials of autonomous vehicles in Singapore. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he holds the position of Chief Information Officer for Schaeffler in Asia Pacific, where he is responsible for the company's information technology strategy and the integration of new technologies to enhance productivity.125

Boon Siew Han's expertise encompasses embedded electronics, vehicle systems integration, and robotics systems development, and he has collaborated with various international companies on advanced automotive sensors and humanoid robots.134
