Design at Apple
Bobby C. Martin Jr. is a prominent designer and co-founder of Champions Design, a creative agency he established in 2010 alongside Jennifer Kinon. Originally from Hampton, Virginia, Martin studied Communication Arts and Design at Virginia Commonwealth University and later earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His career includes significant roles in editorial design and brand design, working for notable organizations such as Ogilvy and Jazz at Lincoln Center under Wynton Marsalis, as well as leading global packaging design at Nokia.12
Martin's agency, Champions Design, has collaborated with high-profile clients including Apple, Amazon, the National Basketball Association, and the Girl Scouts of the USA. Notably, he contributed to the 2021 Apple Watch Black Unity Collection before joining Apple's design team full-time in Cupertino, California.13 His work has garnered numerous accolades from prestigious organizations like AIGA and the Art Directors Club, and he was recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Creative People in Business in 2017.123
