Bobby Boone is a seasoned professional with close to ten years of experience in retail real estate, where he is dedicated to empowering tenants, developers, and cities in creating community-centric retail spaces. Through his expertise in market analysis, planning, and strategic merchandising, Bobby ensures the sustainability and success of retail environments.
Before establishing &Access Retail, Bobby spearheaded initiatives in Detroit to support small businesses and addressed various retail challenges as a senior strategist at Streetsense. His scope of work ranged from revitalizing well-known brands and malls to developing growth strategies for emerging businesses and commercial areas.
In addition to his professional roles, Bobby contributes to academia as a lecturer at the University of Maryland and Harvard University, as well as a speaker at national conferences. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Florida A&M University and a Master of Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati. Bobby also holds certifications from the American Institute of Certified Planners and LEED-Neighborhood Development.
Bobby's educational background includes studies in architecture and community planning at various institutions, including Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, University of Cincinnati, and Istanbul Technical University. He has also been involved in a multitude of organizations, serving in various capacities ranging from founder and chief strategist at &Access Retail to roles at Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, Streetsense, Smart Growth America, and others.
