Bob Defandorf
Teacher, Grades 7-8 at Acera School
Bob Defandorf is a middle school teacher at Acera School: The Massachusetts School of Science, Creativity and Leadership in Winchester, MA. He has been teaching grades 7-8 at Acera since July 2017.2 Prior to joining Acera, Bob taught for seven years at Odyssey Day School in Wakefield, where he worked with children of all ages from toddlers through eighth grade.1
Bob holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from Wesleyan University.1 At Acera, he teaches a wide range of subjects, including math and various electives such as Cultural Anthropology, History of Math, and an annual US Government course.1
Bob is known for his passion in helping math students experience both the joy and discipline of advancing their skills. He also serves as a co-teacher in the core classroom.1 Outside of his teaching duties, Bob is from Boston and is the parent of a former Acera STEAM Camp summer intern.1
