A proud Hokie and Gamecock graduate, Bo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Virginia Tech, a testament to his ability to connect and engage with various stakeholders effectively. To further his expertise in the realm of higher education, he pursued and attained a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. This educational foundation has equipped him with the necessary skills to enhance student experiences and foster alumni relations within academic institutions.
After completing his education, Bo joined the University of South Carolina, where he has made significant contributions to the campus community. His career at USC began as a Graduate Assistant, where he honed his skills in program development and student engagement. He quickly moved up the ranks, serving as the Assistant Director of Alumni Chapters, where he played an integral role in connecting alumni with the university, further solidifying their lifelong bonds.
His career also includes influential roles such as the Director of Student Programs at the University of South Carolina. In this capacity, Bo demonstrated exceptional leadership by developing programs that enhanced student life and promoted a vibrant campus culture. His innovative approach to student programs has not only contributed to the satisfaction and success of current students but has also been instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for new students. Currently, he serves as the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, a role in which he continues to enrich the alumni experience, forging lasting connections, and providing opportunities for alumni to stay involved with the university.

Before his tenure at the University of South Carolina, he was the Assistant Director of Development at Virginia Tech, where he focused on fundraising initiatives that supported the university’s mission and goals. His journey also includes an important role with the United States Senate, where he served as a Legislative and Communications Fellow, gaining a deep understanding of public policy and communication strategies that benefit academic institutions and their stakeholders.
Adding to his impressive repertoire is his involvement as the President of the Student Government Association while at Virginia Tech.
