I lead Packhorse in the utilisation of financial and operational data providing assessments and analysis of the operations and investment performance. A senior member of the finance team I work each day to drive the achievement of our objectives and support Management across our business and portfolios.

Responsibilities include:
- Development of month-end reporting processes and tools for investment and operational managers 
- Capital structure analysis and recommendations to the Packhorse Senior Management Team
- Financial Modelling requirements of the business 
- Budget and Forecast development 
- Research and Analysis requests from the business and senior management 
- Custodianship of Packhorse's insurance portfolio 
- Accounting and Reporting of cattle trading results and performance 
- Developing systems and processes to utilise operational and financial data

Financial Controller

As a leader in the KPMG Food and AG team, I develop diverse sets of solutions for clients in the following ways:
1) Operating as an industry specialist. This means I use my familiarity and understanding of the food and agribusiness sectors to identify opportunity and implement actions to realise the opportunities. An example of this type of work is developing growth strategies with economic development units in regional councils and agencies. 
2) Leading multi-disciplinary teams ensuring the technical capability of KPMG is tailored to the unique environment a food company or agribusiness is operating within. This means being the interface between the client and the technical experts challenging, testing and enriching the solutions KPMG works with clients to develop.

Associate Director, Risk Consulting

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Completion of data analysis and excel spreadsheet assistant to the Coal Sales Marketing Team leader and staff;
• Development of updated mining brochures / information packs for use by Rio Tinto Coal operations Australia wide;
• Key point of contact for the publishers and graphic designers;
• Milestone reporting to the Manager of Marketing and the Marketing team concerning project status;
• Assisted with the management of coal sale contracts; and 
• Completion of ad hoc administration tasks. 

Outcomes:
• Developed a detailed understanding of the process to mine coal in Australia; 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; 
• Development of interviewing skills through researching the information to include in the brochures / information packs;
• Extension of an initial 2 month internship into a 12 month project management role for the brochure / information pack project; and
• Development of basic project management concepts.

Undergraduate Internship

Working as a Station Stockman gave me an appreciation of physical work and exposed me to leadership and management.  I would often work closely with my father, an experience I will always treasure, and saw first hand how to get the best out of people.  

Knowing how to arrange and lead work for a full day and still have time for people management was a great take away.
