The Channel Company is private equity backed digital market services company focused on the Information Technology sector with a core leadership role in the IT Channel.  TCC was a media, publication, and events leader in the technology sector for over 40 years with the leading media and events brands including CRN, Computing, XChange, and Mid-size Enterprise Services MES. Originally brought on to develop a scalable, customer-centric, services, and sales marketing strategy.  
I Led the business transformation and navigated a private equity sale of The Channel Company. Completed 4 acquisitions and integration efforts.  Drove a significant transformation from a US-based company to a global company driving revenue and profits 3X as a result.

ClearCenter was a Privately held SaaS IT services company, with managed services, cloud services, managed network and app services. I was brought on create a sales organization, hiring new sales team, developing sales strategy and process, and growing revenue.  I led efforts to drive integration of our mergers and acquisitions made by ClearCenter integrating acquired organizations into our open-source Software as a Service (SaaS) model focused on it’s large community, open systems install base moving into a SaaS revenue based model.  With strong partnership roots they intend to build out a worldwide partner model.   My role was to lay the foundation for that growth model.  We successfully grew our revenue and our install base during my tenure servicing the MSP and MSSP channels with customer bases in the mid-sized commercial enterprise, security and application development needs and strong presence in Federal, State and Local and Education markets (Higher Education and K-12).

Senior Vice President Of Sales

I was responsible for HPE server, networking, and converged systems go-to-market strategy with our partners.  My role was to interface with global marketing, product management, finance, and both channel and end-user sales organizations to bring together the strategy to ensure it can be executed to drive growth across a broad set of resellers, MSPs, MSSP, Alliances, OEM partnerships, and distributors worldwide.  My focus was partner programs, enablement, and segment alignment. I came into HP with a networking focus and transitioned during my tenure to the systems line of business after the successful split with HPE and HPI. I also helped in the integration of the acquisitions of Aruba, Nimble, and SimpliVity during my tenure.  Our core channel GTM strategy drove core growth in the channel outpacing both industry and direct customer growth rates. I had the specific responsibility to work with Product Management on the launch of our converged systems offering focused on retail and mid-size enterprise segments. This included the GTM development and marketing launch strategy.

Acronis is a privately equity (PE) backed software company with over $150M in annual sales and 500+ employees globally. Key products include data protection, cyber security, software backup and recovery, mobile file management, collaboration, synchronization, and cloud backup (SaaS) in the consumer, SMB, and enterprise segments. My role was General Manager for America’s sales, driving half of the company’s revenue in B2B and B2C segments, helping with the implementation of a cloud strategy to augment our traditional routes to market and drive our transition to a Software as a Service (SaaS) revenue model.  We restructured the sales model to a customer success model during my tenure driving sales productivity and increasing the productivity of the Channel model through MSPs, MSSPs, resellers and strategic alliances. Our OEM and Distribution models drove cost efficiency as a result of the channel program launch, we completed.

Juniper Networks was a $4B+ public network and security firm operating globally, growing from 4,000 to over 8,000 employees during my tenure. Juniper held market leadership positions in cybersecurity and Network products both hardware and software. I had two responsibilities.  I had a U.S. Channel organization and the commercial enterprise team. With a $1.25B in annual quota and grew at a compounded rate of 25% during my tenure. I managed 45 channel and 125 commercial sales reps along with 35 systems engineers covering the Americas.  Our key industries included financial services, communication sector, federal and state government as well as Higher Education and K-12.  During my time with Juniper, we worked with product management to launch the enterprise switch opening a new product category and transforming our relationship with MSPs, MSSPs, resellers and distribution while restructuring our channel programs. Juniper had a market leading position in the cybersecurity hardware and software segments.

Vice President, America's Partner and Commercial Sales

IBM was the world’s largest IT organization during my 20-year tenure.  I witnessed a company that went from unquestioned leadership, to being nearly written off as a dinosaur to regaining a leadership role in the IT industry.  

20 years, including 16 years in leadership positions with both Enterprise and Channel Sales. Experience in all aspects of the IT industry working with multiple industries with specific end user, customer responsibility in financial services, Education, state and local government and retail. My experience included sales efforts with hardware, software and IT services.  I had sales leadership roles in channel sales at the strategic and tactical levels with reseller and distribution roles. My last role was as Director, Channel Sales where I directed a team covering Ingram Micro, which, at the time, was one of IBMs largest worldwide relationships with over $800M in annual sales including hardware, services, and software.

I joined the Army when I made a decision to go to college at 18 and I had no idea how I would pay for it, and the Army offered me the chance to "be all I can be."  I started as a 19D Cavalry Scout at Fort Knox, KY where I won the GS Patton trainee of the cycle award.  I spent two years on Active Duty, mostly in Boeblingen, Germany before heading off to school at the University of Utah.  While at the U I received a commission in Field Artillery and subsequently served 5 years in the US Army Reserve before choosing to leave the Army.  I would not be the person I am today had I not joined the Army.
