BJ Lackland

Bj Lackland is an experienced CEO, CFO, and Board Member who has led and funded startups for over 20 years. He has invested over $200 million in more than 350 tech startups as a lender and VC, using revenue-based financing and venture debt. Lackland has also raised over $40 million in venture capital and led a startup that was on the Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for five straight years.

Lackland's education includes an MBA and an MA in International Studies from the University of Washington, as well as a BA in Economics, Philosophy, and Politics from Claremont McKenna College. He has also studied Chinese Language Studies at the Taipei Language Institute and at Lakeside School.

Lackland has been involved in various organizations, serving as Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer at IBI SPIKES FUND and Vice Chairman at Founders First Capital Partners, LLC. Additionally, he has worked as CEO at Lighter Capital, Member at Element 8 Angels, CFO & Board Member at Power Efficiency Corporation, and Vice President and Partner at Summit Energy Ventures LLC, among others.

Throughout his career, Lackland has gained a diverse set of skills and interests, spanning from strategic planning and corporate development to marketing and teaching.
