Birte Kersten

Birte Kersten is a versatile legal professional with a strong educational background in law.

She pursued her education diligently starting with VWO at Jeroen Bosch College in 's-Hertogenbosch and later went on to complete Beroepsopleiding advocatuur at Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten.

Her academic journey continued with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Privaatrecht from Universiteit Utrecht and a Bachelor's degree in Rechtsgeleerdheid from Utrecht University.

Further enhancing her legal expertise, she also attended Law Firm School as well as Independence Community College in Kansas, America.

Professionally, Birte has made significant contributions in the legal field having worked as an Advocaat specializing in strafrecht at Aarts & Poortinga Advocaten in both Amsterdam and Putten.

She also served as an Interim Legal Counsel at DPA Professionals, gained experience as an Advocaat/Associate focusing on Real Estate matters at Simmons & Simmons, and completed a student-stagiair role in Litigation & Regulatory at DLA Piper.

Additionally, Birte showcased her legal skills on an international platform by participating as a Competitor at the 19th Willem C. Vis Moot within the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
