Bill Batterman

Bill Batterman is a Learning Support Instructor and the Associate Director of Debate at Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. He has extensive experience in coaching debate, having previously held positions at several high schools, including Marquette University High School, where he served as the Director of Debate. His coaching career is distinguished by numerous accolades, including being named Coach of the Year by the Wisconsin Debate Coaches’ Association and receiving the National Debate Coaches Association's Educator of the Year Award.

In addition to his teaching role at Woodward Academy, Batterman has been involved in summer debate instruction at various institutions, including Michigan State University and Georgetown University. His contributions to the debate community extend to leadership roles, such as serving as President of the Wisconsin Debate Coaches’ Association and on the Tournament of Champions Advisory Committee. He is also recognized for his contributions to educational initiatives in debate, making him a prominent figure in the field.12
