Biljana Solakovska-Mihajlovska has accumulated over 15 years of diverse experience in Businesses and Civil sector development, implementation, and technical support of local and international projects aimed at market system and civic sector advancement.

She has served in various roles such as Field researcher, Project coordinator/Manager, Social auditor, Grants monitoring/Financial coordinator, CSR promoter, Business consultant, Mediator, and Monitoring and Results Measurement Specialist, showcasing a wide array of skills and expertise.

Biljana is a Certified social auditor, in compliance with Fair Wear Foundation and International labor standards, with a deep understanding of social dialogue in the textile industry both locally and internationally.

She possesses intensive knowledge in monitoring and planning systems, adhering to DCED standards, and has played a significant role within the DCED standards practitioner community for over four years, contributing to the full development of the Monitoring and Results Measurement system.

With a robust understanding of Market systems and Private sector development, particularly within the Macedonian context, she has experience in various industries including Textile, Tourism & Hospitality, Organic Agriculture, IT & Software services, Product design, and Sustainable Building.

As a Certified Consultant for Business Planning by the Ministry of Economy under the National Agency for Entrepreneurship program, Biljana has supported start-up businesses and self-employments through UNDP programs, gaining practical experience in business planning and job creation models.

Her expertise extends to the banking sector in Macedonia, showcasing a profound understanding of the country's economy and supporting systems, with a strong focus on private sector development.

Biljana Solakovska-Mihajlovska is fluent in English, Serbo-Croatian, and Bulgarian languages, with basic knowledge in Greek.

She holds a Master's degree in Economic Science with a specialization in Financial Management from the Integrated Business Institute, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Economy, Skopje at the University 'Sv. Kiril and Methodi.'

Currently, she serves as the Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe at Fair Wear Foundation, building on her past roles such as Monitoring and Results Measurement Specialist at Swisscontact worldwide, Financial Grant Monitoring at the Center for Institutional Development - CIRa, Shift Controller at Stopanska banka AD - Skopje, Social Auditor at Fair Wear Foundation, and Project Coordinator at the Foundation for the Development of Small and Medium Entrepreneurships- Skopje.
