Bikas Joshi is an accomplished economist with an impressive educational background, having studied at esteemed institutions such as Harvard University and Columbia University in the City of New York. He has gained an abundance of experience in the financial industry and serves as the Division Chief of the Lending Policy Division in the Strategy Policy and Review Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). His previous positions at IMF include Division Chief of Regional Analytics and Strategy, Middle East and Central Asia Department, and Mission Chief for Bahrain. Joshi has also held the position of Advisor to the Deputy Managing Director at IMF, resident representative, senior economist, and economist. Before working at IMF, he held a position as a lecturer at Columbia University and interned at both the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. Additionally, he has written columns for the Kathmandu Post and worked as a program assistant at the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector.
