Sterling Downey is a Montreal-based municipal politician and city councillor with a diverse professional background. Before entering politics, Downey worked in marketing and branding for numerous organizations, including LRG Clothing and Amnesia Inc. He was also a co-founder of Faux-Amis, a marketing and design firm that specialized in event planning and media relations. Downey's experience in branding and marketing led him to found the International Under Pressure Festival, along with a magazine and record label by the same name. Beyond his creative pursuits, Downey has also been involved in social and political action. He served as the president of the 411 initiative for change, a non-profit organization focused on promoting community development and youth empowerment.
