Jozef Serneels is a seasoned development economist with a focus on local and rural economic development in South East Asia and East Africa.

With a background in Master in Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Jozef has excelled in various positions within the UN system and NGOs.

His expertise lies in livelihood and enterprise development, M&E systems, program planning, review, and learning processes, as well as advising on economic development strategies for local communities.

Jozef Serneels has a proven track record in conducting poverty analysis, facilitating North-South exchanges, and leading participatory planning for successful programs.
