Daniel Medeiros de Assis is a highly experienced software professional based in São Paulo Area, Brazil. With a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, Daniel has honed his skills working in some of the most reputable organizations across the industry.

Having worked as a Software Programmer at Agência Foster, System Analyst, Senior Software Programmer, and Software Architect at Petrobras, Senior Software Developer / Software Architect at BNP Paribas Cardif, Software Architect Consultant at OCTO Technology, and Bus & Technology Delivery Manager at Accenture Brasil, Daniel comes with a wealth of experience in Java distributed applications architecture and development.

Currently, Daniel serves as the Lead Consultant for FICO®, where he advises clients on a wide range of solutions related to architecture and development of Java distributed applications. He is also a Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka and an expert in AWS technologies.

A Scrum master and a proud user of Arch Linux w/ i3m as the operational system from his personal computer (no dual boot), Daniel is always eager to explore new technologies and believes Clojure to be the most elegant functional programming language ever.
