Larry Loften is an experienced educational leader dedicated to creating inclusive academic environments and campus climates. With a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Adult Studies from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.A. in Higher Education and Adult Studies - Student Development from the University of Denver, and a B.A. in Humanities - Philosophy and Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder, Loften has cultivated a long history of achievement as an inspiring and engaging collaborator passionate about positive change.

As the Title IX Coordinator and Equity Officer at the University of Northern Colorado, Loften is responsible for creating policies, programs, and support systems to improve all aspects of student life, including diversity and inclusion, student conduct, and responses to discrimination. His strengths include program development and administration, student affairs, crisis response, institutional change, critical thinking, and effective communication. Loften has trained, coached, and mentored students and peers across all levels - from faculty to university administrators - in order to create consensus and strengthen outreach.

Loften has held various positions in higher education, including serving as the Director of Community Standards and Wellness at the University of Colorado at Denver and as an Assistant Director of Student Life - Student Conduct and Residential Education at the same institution. Prior to that, he was the Community Manager at Hammersmith Management and the Residence Hall Director at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
