    Bethany Shorb is a product designer, visual artist, and performer based in Detroit for over twenty years.

    She holds an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA in Sculpture, Photography, Art History, and Asian Art History from Boston University.

    As a co-founder of OmniCorpDetroit, Detroit's first makerspace, she advocates for the city's reinvention through the collaboration of artists, engineers, and entrepreneurs.

    With 14 years in the industry, her accessories line Cyberoptix emphasizes responsible and sustainable manufacturing practices, featuring a print-to-order system and a commitment to water-based printing without harmful solvents.

    Bethany has showcased her work in exhibitions across the US and internationally, with projects featured in major media outlets like Martha Stewart Show, PBS Newshour, HGTV, WIRED, and more.

    She has participated in prestigious events such as Maker Faire Detroit, World Maker Faire New York, and the Venice Biennale.

    Bethany Shorb has received recognition for her contributions to entrepreneurship, including being named Detroit's Regional Ambassador for Women's Entrepreneurship Day in 2018.

    An active philanthropist, she has dedicated time to working with the Homeless Homies charitable foundation, supporting homeless populations in Detroit and LA.

    Currently, Bethany divides her time between Detroit and Los Angeles, managing her retail store and printing workshop in Detroit's Eastern Market.
