    Beth Whitehouse is an accomplished journalist and author known for her insightful coverage of kids and families for Newsday and Newsday.com.

    With a tenure at Newsday since 1993, Beth has a rich history of journalistic experience, including roles in breaking news coverage and as an assistant Long Island editor.

    Her journalistic excellence has been recognized with prestigious awards, such as sharing the 1997 Pulitzer Prize for the coverage of the Crash of Flight 800 and winning the National Association of Science Writers' Science in Society Award for her series 'The Match.'

    In addition to her journalistic endeavors, Beth Whitehouse is a published author, with her book 'The Match: Savior Siblings and One Family's Battle to Heal Their Daughter' being well-received after its publication by Beacon Press in 2010.

    Complementing her professional roles, Beth has also shared her expertise with students as a guest lecturer and adjunct professor of journalism at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism from 1997 to 2012.

    Currently, Beth Whitehouse is pursuing her passion for law as a part-time law student at Touro Law Center in New York, adding another dimension to her multifaceted career.
