Dr. Beth Watts is a Senior Research Fellow at I-SPHERE (Institute for Social Policy, Housing and Equalities Research), Heriot-Watt University.

She is the current chair of the Housing Studies Association and the book reviews editor for the international journal Housing Studies.
Her educational background also includes studying at Richard Huish College.
In her PhD research, completed in 2013, she compared homelessness policies in Scotland and Ireland, focusing on legal rights to housing and outcomes of homelessness policy.
