Beth Thomas

Beth Thomas is a highly skilled 4th year Mathematics Masters student at the prestigious University of Oxford. She is a talented mathematician, with a particular interest in graph theory, number theory, data visualization, and software development. Beth is passionate about promoting the study of mathematics, especially for women. She has her own YouTube channel called "maths unboxed" where she shares her expertise and insights on mathematics. In addition, she has experience in graphic design and has an online maths resource business.

During her academic journey, Beth has excelled both in her studies and extracurricular activities. She holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford. She completed 4 A-levels (Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Psychology, Government & Politics), as well as (i)GCSEs with exceptional grades. Moreover, she has worked as a intern in Mathematics communication, a Data Visualisation intern, and has worked as a Mathematics Question Author at Hodder Education. She has also taken on freelance projects as a graphic designer and has sold her own Mathematics teaching resources on the popular platform Teachers Pay Teachers.

In her quest to increase awareness about the importance of STEM education, Beth has also worked as an English teacher with GoToCo. Her accomplishments in her field and her active participation in various extracurricular activities make her an incredible math advocate.
