•	Assembled a core product development team of engineers specializing in semantic technology, knowledge representation, machine learning, and full-stack development

STORM and iMedGo, an early-stage emergency medical software company, developed a partnership, TigoHealth, to create a digital health self-management support intervention for low-income patients in rural communities.
•	Coordinated development through 4 technology vendors to create a digital health self-management support intervention for low-income patients in rural communities along the U.S.-Mexico border
•	Developed Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants to fund human-center design research and product development

Successfully positioned the San Diego Blood Bank and the National Blood Collaborative as a de novo infrastructure for President Obama's Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI), later known as the NIH All of Us Research Program
•	Developed positioning documents, including a white paper
•	Informed the White House and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the blood centers’ infrastructure and capabilities 
•	Represented the blood banks at White House Summits and NIH working groups
•	Advised a multi-institutional collaboration in designing a blood donor enrollment pilot study
•	Assisted the collaboration in the development of a proposal aimed at recruiting study volunteers that resulted in two sub-awards enrolling ~160,000 study participants into the All of Us Research Program

Strategic planning and business development for a virtual tumor data repository platform to provide therapeutic decision support 
•	Developed a team of 20+ members, including oncologists, researchers, patient advocates, and corporations with core competencies in Cloud IT infrastructure, bio-repositories, molecular profiling, and next-generation sequencing
•	Cultivated relationships with directors of federal government agencies, elected officials, appropriators, and policy advisors to establish funding opportunities

Strong relationships with the executive branch, congressional members, government agencies, national institutes, and the childhood cancer and rare disease communities
•	Aided congressional sponsors in gathering support for passage and appropriation of the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act, a $126M authorization bill for transformative, innovative pediatric medical research 
•	Led an effort to appoint the 1st pediatric oncologist to the President’s National Cancer Advisory Board
•	Assisted the White House in planning the 1st pediatric cancer briefings bringing together heads of government agencies and foundations 
•	Obtain key congressional support for Young Adult, Adolescent, and Pediatric Cancer Research funding within the Department of Defense, resulting in over $80M in additional funding 
•	Facilitate successful resolution of difficult, high-profile compassion and expanded access cases using an “evidence-based” approach

The Nicholas Conor Institute (TNCI)

A unique 501(c)3 medical research and development organization with the mission to transform academic discoveries into cancer-specific predictive tests and innovative therapies
•	Developed and actively engaged a Board of Directors and three Advisory Boards (Scientific, Medical, and Industry) composed of over 30 key opinion leaders with extensive experience in either academia, healthcare, industry, regulatory, legal, and philanthropy
•	Cultivated support for target initiatives by establishing fruitful relationships with industry, clinical institutions, government granting agencies, foundations, patient groups, and private donors
•	Business plan development, presentations, and exploratory business development with healthcare organizations, academic institutions, foundations, life science and high-tech companies, venture capital, marketing, and site development firms
•	Built an alliance of for-profit companies and negotiated scope-of-work, milestones, and corporate contributions for TNCI’s initiatives
