Benjamin McGowan

Benjamin McGowan is the current managing director at Indigo Power Ltd with a strong focus on renewable energy and environmental governance. He holds a Joint Environmental Politics PhD from CDU/ANU. Benjamin's expertise lies in renewable energy, environmental policy, and community engagement.

His educational background includes a Masters of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Neuroscience and Psychology from the same institution.

Throughout his career, Benjamin has held various roles such as Business Analyst at Indigo Shire Council, International Development Intern at Cloudy Bay Sustainable Forestry, Consultant/Contractor at Ben McGowan Environmental Contracting/Consulting, and more. He also served as a PHD candidate at Charles Darwin University and the Australian National University.

Prior to his current role, Benjamin gained experience in diverse fields including bushland management, outreach, disability support, and volunteering as a researcher at Upper Murray Family Care.
