Benjamin Gatland

Benjamin Gatland is an accomplished professional with a background in Development Studies, Politics, History, and Sociology from the University of Cape Town.

Currently, Benjamin serves as the Director of Social Sustainability at The HEINEKEN Company, where he is focused on driving initiatives that positively impact communities and society.

Prior to his role at HEINEKEN, Benjamin held key positions at PARTNER AFRICA, including Executive Director and Regional Manager for North and Southern Africa. During his tenure at PARTNER AFRICA, he also served as the Regional Manager for Southern Africa and Head of Audits, demonstrating his versatile skill set and leadership capabilities within the organization.

Before his time at PARTNER AFRICA, Benjamin gained valuable experience as the Standards and Certification Manager at Fairtrade Africa, where he played a crucial role in promoting fair trade practices across the region. He also served as the Regional Manager for Southern Africa at Fairtrade Africa, further highlighting his commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices.

Additionally, Benjamin Gatland started his career as a Volunteer in South Sudan, showcasing his dedication to social causes and community development.
