Benjamin Frevert is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in transportation engineering and renewable energy initiatives.
He started his career at the Federal Highway Administration, gaining valuable insights into transportation programs and projects, before transitioning into a consultant role in Intelligent Transportation Systems for 13 years.
With a passion for alternative energy, Benjamin pursued a Master of Science in Alternative Energy at the University of Rochester, complementing his expertise in project management and team leadership.
During his tenure at Larsen Engineers, he specialized in solar photovoltaic projects, mastering the regulatory landscape in New York and excelling in customer relations, project development, and engineering activities.
In 2017, Benjamin ventured into the renewable energy sector with Renewable Energy Districts, offering customer management services for community solar projects in New York.
His dedication to advancing Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) in western New York led to the establishment of Roctricity, a business focused on integrating community solar into CCA programs.
Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Alternative Energy from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Kansas.
