Benedita Deslandes

Benedita Deslandes is a highly-analytical, organized, and responsible individual with a diverse background in molecular, genetic, and lifecourse epidemiology.

Benedita's educational journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular, Genetic, and Lifecourse Epidemiology from the University of Bristol, an MSc in Nutrition Sciences from the Karolinska Institutet, and a BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences from the University of Exeter.

Apart from her formal education, Benedita has also completed the International Baccalaureate program at the Oeiras International School in Portugal and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) at the same institution.

Benedita Deslandes has gained practical experience through various roles, including working as a Research Assistant at the University of Exeter, shadowing researchers at prestigious institutions like Champalimaud Foundation and Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia, and completing an internship at the Metabolic Diseases Research Group at NOVA Medical School - Faculdade de Ciências Médicas.
