Benedict Lau is an accomplished engineer, co-founder, and member of several esteemed organizations. With a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science - Nanoengineering from the University of Toronto, Lau's educational background is impressive.

Lau's career is marked by a multitude of software engineering roles - from Senior Mobile Engineer at Upsight to Co-founding Engineer at Distributed Press at the Hypha Worker Co-operative. He has also been a Mobile Developer at QuickPlay Media, an Android Application Engineer at mySpark Technologies, and a Signal Processing specialist at the Artificial Perception Lab.

Lau is a member of the Hypha Worker Co-operative and co-founded Aether, emphasizing his commitment to community and to creating a more connected global network. He has previously served as Network Coordinator for DWeb Camp 2019 at the Internet Archive and is a former CTO at Starling Lab.
