Benedict Lopez Joson is the Executive Administrative Assistant at the Southern California College Attainment Network (SoCal CAN). Ben's journey in the social sector is influenced by his experiences growing up in New York, where he navigated both private and public education systems within a highly segregated environment. Since joining SoCal CAN in spring 2023, he has played a crucial role in supporting the organization's leadership team with administrative projects that are vital for organizational development and coalition-building efforts.12
In addition to his role at SoCal CAN, Ben is also a co-founder of the Kamayan Coalition and 260by26, demonstrating his active engagement in community-building and advocacy initiatives.2
