Benedict Joson
Benedict Joson is a social entrepreneur and nonprofit professional based in Queens, New York. With a passion for promoting social justice, his work includes organizing around climate justice, entrepreneurship, Filipino diaspora, international development, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ rights. He co-founded the Kamayan Coalition, an organization that champions Filipino food and culture, and 260by26, a nonprofit that works to improve girls' education worldwide. He has also served on the board of two local youth leadership and social justice nonprofits, Voices of Youth Changes Everything and Hope Reichbach Fund. Benedict has worked for various organizations including Pencils of Promise and Teach For All. He is a Filipino immigrant and studied at Archbishop Molloy High School and City University of New York-Hunter College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Public Policy, and Human Rights.
