Ben Scher

Ben Scher is an accomplished individual with a diverse educational background. He holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Public Issues Anthropology from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor's Degree (BA) with Combined Honours in Social Sciences from Durham University, and completed high school with an impressive 89% Honours standing at St. George's School.

Ben has gained valuable experience working with various organizations. He has served as an Outreach Worker at St Mungo's and as a Public Speaker at TEDx. Previously, Ben held positions as a Harm Reduction Worker, Shelter Resource Worker, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Lookout Housing + Health Society and the University of Waterloo, respectively. He has also interned at several prominent legal firms including Hill Dickinson LLP, Schillings, Stikeman Elliott LLP, and AeroTurbine, Inc., as well as at Nomura.

Through his roles as a Legal Intern and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Ben has demonstrated a strong legal acumen and a commitment to academia. His experience as an Outreach Worker and Harm Reduction Worker showcases his dedication to helping vulnerable populations and addressing social issues. Additionally, his experience as a Public Speaker at TEDx highlights his communication skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
