Higher Education Quality Assurance Manager

As Education Manager I was responsible for the management of a team of executives. This role required team member recruitment and support, including the identification of individual training needs and skill development, while ensuring the team meets relevant targets and maintains performance standards. I was the first point of contact for operational, project and educational policy issues for members of the organisation and external stakeholders. Within this role I liaised with relevant internal governance committees producing and presenting research papers and undertaking work as directed. I also represented the HCPC at external meetings, liased with HEI’s, professional bodies and government departments.

Education Manager

As Education Officer I was responsible for implementing HCPC’s approval and monitoring processes for education and training programmes. To do this I liaised with education providers to co-ordinate, attend and produce reports for regular approval visits throughout the UK. I also advise and guide key stakeholders through HCPC’s policies and procedures. I act as an HCPC spokesperson on education matters, as required, often through the development and delivery of relevant training. A key part of my role entails preparing reports, drafting papers and presentations at relevant committee meetings.

Education Officer

As Education Officer I was the leading advocate for the Union Society in the field of educational welfare. I was a point of contact for students who needed help and advice while also liaising with, and co-ordinating between, the university, the student body and the wider community. I worked to develop new democratic and representational structures, recruiting staff to maintain these while also seeing a 100% increase in voter turnout. I also recruited and trained around 90 volunteers and 15 elected officers.
