Ben Malbon

Ben Malbon is an accomplished marketing leader with a unique set of experiences across categories, geographies, and companies. Currently, he is a Marketing Director at Google where he oversees Google's Brand and leads Google's Brand Studio team in EMEA. Besides, he has held senior roles at the advertising agencies Bartle Bogle Hegarty and DDB, in addition to leading cross-functional teams, including product and engineering groups.
Ben is a board trustee at City Harvest in London, where he chairs the Strategy & Brand Working Group, and a council member for D&AD Impact, using creative thinking to drive positive change. Furthermore, he is a Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), the judging body of The Webby Awards & The Lovie Awards.
Throughout his career, Ben has demonstrated expertise in marketing strategy, brand thinking, reinventing stuff, managing sprawling multi-disciplinary teams, running agency relationships, digital creativity, design thinking, anthropology & user insights, new ways of working, and social psychology. He holds a Ph.D. in social psychology, music, and drug use from University College London and a Bachelor's degree in geography from The University of Manchester.
