Ben Mackie is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in building and transforming teams, products, and platforms within global software organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Qwilr, following a successful 7-year tenure at Atlassian.

At Qwilr, Ben leads a team focused on disrupting traditional document creation mechanisms for sales teams and beyond, enabling users to build engaging web pages that drive action.

Throughout his career, Ben has held various key positions, including Senior Engineering Leader for Confluence, Growth, Platform, and Ecosystem at Atlassian, where he played a pivotal role in driving product innovation and organizational growth.

Prior to his time at Atlassian, Ben spent 7 years at ISS Group, now P2, working closely with the CEO to revamp products and technology in industries such as Oil and Gas, Mining, and Manufacturing, specializing in real-time integration, visualization, and collaboration.

Before that, he dedicated 9 years to WST Pacific, now Deltek, focusing on engineering, architecture, and the development of enterprise project management and cost management software solutions.

Ben's areas of expertise encompass technology and business transformation, product and startup growth, global team building, content collaboration, ecosystem and platform development, vendor/startup advisory, product growth strategies, community building, project and cost management, operations management, real-time integration, visualization, statistical process control, and more.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management, a Master of Arts in Mathematics, Computer Science, Marketing, and Economics from the University of Adelaide, as well as additional studies at the University of Bath Institute for Policy Research (Ipr).

In addition to his current role at Qwilr, Ben has previously founded Osmotix and held leadership positions at various organizations such as ISS Group, Deltek, and Atlassian, showcasing a diverse and extensive professional background in the technology and software industry.
