Founded in Australia in 2016 through a collaboration between AMP Capital and CSIRO, I was hired late 2018 to re-birth the company around my vision for the future of Energy where vast distributed infrastructure (DER) would be connected and orchestrated by software. We built from the ground up a team dedicated to excellence, culture of high performance, and highly scalable technologies.

Evergen has now developed world-class software platforms and services that enable digital optimisation of energy supply chains, maximising the benefits of adopting renewable technologies. These include utility-scale generation and storage assets, hydrogen, C&I sites, homes and businesses with solar power and storage, and many other devices. 

The company's systems are used by more than 40 leading utilities across the globe to ensure optimal functioning of their assets. Evergen's mission is to decarbonise the energy system by accelerating the retirement of coal-fired power plants and facilitating the transition to resilient and renewable energy systems.

Search Party was a recruitment services marketplace (Uber for Recruitment!) that connected employers and recruiters to make hiring faster, easier and more effective. Search Party had offices in Sydney, London and Toronto and also acquired employer branding site, JobAdvisor.  Search Party won a prestigious Westpac Business of Tomorrow award in 2017.

As CEO I managed all aspects of the business, grew teams and partnerships all over the world, raised more than $20m in venture and institutional capital and developed strategic and investor relationships. We listed the business on the ASX in August 2016 and I learned a lot about the transition between venture backed and public companies during this phase of my career.

Recruited as 2IC to setup a global strategic sourcing and procurement operation focused on delivery of improved cost efficiency across Macquarie’s external spend.  Pivotal in selection, recruitment, and development of global team from 4 to 24 resources.  Led identification and delivery of 170 separate initiatives which enabled the MGL businesses to realise $50M in cost savings in FY12 & $22.5M in FY11.

Business Improvement & Strategy (BIS) works at the invitation of Macquarie businesses, support areas, funds and assets to assist with the navigation of complex business issues and delivery of programs for business unit growth and operational effectiveness.

Whilst working in BIS I delivered a broad range of projects including Strategic Sourcing, Systems, Liquidity Management, Treasury Risk, and operational improvement.

I won a coveted Macquarie Award in 2009 for exceptional teamwork whilst managing a globally significant project.

Founded by principals with more than 35 years experience with McKinsey & Company, the Mitchell Madison Group, Accenture and Deloitte Consulting The Company merged with Mainsheet Corporate in 2007, and was then purchased by PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2008.

Worked in strategic sourcing to solve complex strategic and operational problems for ASX200 clients and generated substantial bottom-line savings and profit improvements.  Led negotiations with suppliers to drive client benefits and construct beneficial contracts.
